Holy Cross School, Kabuganj in the Cachar district of Assam is a Christian Minority Educational institution established, administered and run by the Catholic Church, primarily for the education of Catholic Children and for others to the extent possible without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or colour. It is an unaided private school, established on 15th February 2007, under the provision of the Educational Rights of the Minorities guaranteed by the Constitution of India.

Our Mission
Our mission is to develop young men and women with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical.

The chief aim of the school is to enable individuals to know and develop to the fullest, their physical, mental, social, moral and spiritual potentialities.
Special attention is given to ensure high standard of morality and discipline in the school.
Great care is taken to enable the students to become physically fit, intellectually competent, morally upright, spiritually inspired and socially committed by imparting holistic and personalised education.
The goal of education is to teach the students to love everyone, to discover the deeper meaning of life, to learn to interact with others in a healthy way, to love creation including the environment, to think freely and evaluate critically, and to plan for a bright future.
Educational Rights of Minorities
As a Christian Minority Educational Institution, Holy Cross School operates under the educational rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India.
Right to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice.
Right to appoint Governing Bodies of their choice.
Right to admit students of their communities first.
Right to appoint Principals, Headmasters and teachers of their choice provided they have minimum qualifications prescribed by the Government.
Right to take reasonable fees from students, if the Educational Institutions are not receiving grant-in-aid of the Government.
Right to select the medium of instruction.
Right to fix a uniform dress for the students.
Right to teach religion and conduct worship for the children of the minority community.
Right to admit either boys or girls or both.
Right not to be nationalised by the Governments.
