Fee Structure


Guidelines for fee payment at Holy Cross School. Please read carefully to ensure timely payment and avoid penalties.

01. School fees are paid for 12 months.

02. Fees are to be paid by the 10th of every month. After the due date, a late fee of Rs. 10/- per month is charged. Fees for the holiday months are to be paid in advance.

03. A fine of Rs. 250/- will be charged for every bounced/incomplete cheque.

04. Annual fees shall be paid together with the tuition fees of the first month in the new academic session.

05. Pupils whose dues are not cleared completely will be debarred from sitting for examinations. If the payment is not made for 2 consecutive months, the pupils will have their names struck off from the rolls, and full admission fees will be charged for readmission.

06. Pupils joining or leaving the school during any term will have to pay all the fees for the full term, including the annual fees.

07. Parents are requested to keep the receipts issued to them and produce them as proof of payment if needed.

08. A fee of Rs. 300/- will be charged for a Transfer Certificate (T.C). A fee of Rs. 50/- will be charged for any extract from the Register.

09. The school reserves the right to increase the fees at any time of the year if an increment is considered necessary. A five percent annual increase in the fees is normal.

10. The students who enjoy concession in tuition fees are not exempted from other fees.

11. Fees once paid are not refunded.

Dress Code

School Uniform


All students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and properly at all times.

Girls (Nursery to Class II)

Navy blue gym-type skirt and white short-sleeved blouse.

Girls (Class III to Class X)

Navy blue skirt of knee length with one-inch broad pleats and white full-sleeved blouse with a school belt.

Boys (Nursery to Class II)

Navy blue shorts and white short-sleeved shirts.

Boys (Class III to Class X)

Navy blue trousers with long-sleeved white shirt and school belt.

General Guidelines

Pants and skirts should be worn on the waist and not on the hips.

Black school shoes and navy blue socks shall be worn from Tuesday to Friday.

Navy blue sweater to be used in winter.

School ID card must be worn daily.

Monday & Saturday Uniform

White color socks, shoes, skirt/pant with house T-Shirt and school belt.

Hair Style Requirements

G Girls

2 plaits neatly tied with red ribbons or a hairband for short hair for KG to Class X.

B Boys

Neat crop with no gel.

Important Note

Boys and girls shall note that dyeing of hair, cosmetics, make-up, nail polish, gold ornaments, etc., are not allowed. Students from Class VI and above are allowed to wear a simple wristwatch.

Attendance

Leave of Absence


Regular attendance is essential for academic success. Please follow these guidelines when applying for leave.

Application for leave of absence should be sent to the Principal/Headmistress. The entry should be made in the Leave Record pages given towards the end of the diary, duly signed by the Parents/Guardians.

Leave for religious ceremonies or special occasions must be obtained in advance.

The name of the pupil will be struck off from the School Records in case of unreported or unexplained absence for more than 10 consecutive days.

Applications for leave on medical grounds should be supported by an authentic medical certificate.

A student returning after recovering from a contagious or infectious disease must produce a doctor's certificate.

No leave of absence is sanctioned during school hours without a prior written application from the guardian/parent.

Pupils who do not have at least 80% attendance may not be allowed to appear in the promotion examination.

Late arrival to school is a breach of discipline.

Absence from class for marriage, feast, birthday celebrations, or reasons of study are strongly objected to.

Students should produce a leave note and obtain approval from the Principal/Headmistress before taking leave.

Library Rules


Books will be issued on presenting the Library Card.

Books will be issued only once in two weeks.

Key Info

Pupils are expected to leave the Library immediately after receiving their books.

When taking a book, if any defect is noticed, it should be brought to the notice of the Librarian immediately.

Books lost or damaged must be replaced by the borrower.

Books overdue may be returned on any Library day with a fine of Rs. 10.00 per day.
